In accordance with the preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus, postal operators adapted their operations and manner of delivery.

BEX Express is operating according to the already modified working hours, Express courier is performing collection and delivery between 8AM and 4PM, FedEx, YU PD Express are open from 8AM to 4PM. AKS Express has extended its delivery deadlines to more than 24 hours. City Express performs collection and delivery in delivery centers from 8AM to 4PM, Royal Express Courier collects items until 1PM. Due to an increased number of changes of recipients’ addresses, the operators have intensified the monitoring and communication with the users, especially businesses with employees working from home, which all caused changes in the final delivery destination. Delays in delivery deadlines are to be expected as well, since the majority of the countries follow modified business activities, due to the restrictions introduced as protective measures against the spread of coronavirus. Whenever possible, the majority of operators are committed to carry out collection and delivery in the open.

The Post of Serbia has resumed the collection for its Post express service, with the delivery deadline the next day up to 7PM. The collection is carried out at the postal counters and the delivery at the recipient’s address, in line with the technical possibility of the delivering post offices and the guidelines on safety and protection.

The international postal dispatch service has been temporarily discontinued toward 186 destinations, with the list of destinations where the dispatching is carried out being available on the Post of Serbia’s website.

Urban delivery is carried out at least twice a week and delivery in rural areas once a week. The quality of service has been adapted to the conditions of the state of emergency.

Whenever possible, the delivery of postal items is being performed without contact with the recipient, by insertion of mail in the letter box or by affixing it to the recipient’s door, except for the delivery of insured items and cash payments. In case of mandatory proof of delivery for the item too big to be inserted in the letter box, attempt of delivery at the recipient’s address is done, in line with the prescribed safety measures.
