In order to stimulate competition, cost efficiency and continuous technology development at the mobile communications market, RATEL plans to realize a mobile networks benchmarking project and analyze quality of service offered by mobile operators to the end users in the Republic of Serbia.

The benchmarking project includes 2G/3G/4G network radio-parameter monitoring and performance parameter measurements for voice and data transfer over mobile networks, in order to obtain objective assessment of mobile networks quality of service.

The contract for the benchmarking project realization and publishing the quality of service parameters, including the specialized web portal design, was signed by Dr. Vladica Tintor, director of RATEL and Predrag Mandić, director of the company "CRONY DOO BEOGRAD", which, together with the company "Systemics-PAB Sp. z.o.o." from Poland, will be part of the consortium responsible for realizing the project.

The company "Systemics-PAB Sp. z.o.o." has already realized numerous benchmarking projects for mobile operators all over the world, and for the Polish regulator, Office of Electronic Communications (UKE), as well.

The measurements are planned to be conducted in September and October 2017, and the benchmarking results and mobile operator rankings will be publicly available, at the portal within RATEL's website, in December.
