Publication of Annual Report on RATEL’s Activites for 2017

As a national regulatory authority for electronic communications, postal services and information security, RATEL carried out a set of activities in 2017, aimed at improvement of the operators’ working environment in the telecommunications and postal markets, enhancement of market competition, increasing quality of service, ensuring a higher level of end user protection and promotion of information security in the Republic of Serbia.

RATEL has steered its human and technical resources toward the activities related to the acquisition of the new monitoring and measurement centre site in Vojvodina and signing of the contract for the construction of RF spectrum monitoring station network in 4 locations in Serbia, establishment of an electronic system for radio-stations licence issuance, QoS parameters benchmarking project, setup of the sensor network portal for continuous and long-term monitoring of the total electric field coming from electronic communications networks and equipment, as well as activities focused on building the internal organization and human resource capacities enabling the impending beginning of the National CERT’s activities.

Our present results and future plans are a convincing evidence that we will continue with the positive electronic communications and postal services development trend, market regulation implementation and application of information security rules and regulations.
