The Chair Dan Sjöblom opend the Plenary meeting of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the General Assembly of the Independent Regulators Group (IRG).

Among the topics to be discussed today and tomorrow, the focus is on the BEREC International Roaming Benchmark Data Report on Western Balkan, Draft BEREC guidelines on very high capacity networks and Draft BEREC Guidelines detailing quality of service parameters of Internet Access Services.

BEREC gathers regulatory bodies from the EU countries as well as from the EU Candidate Countries and EFTA countries.

This organization started its activities in 2010, and RATEL has been actively participating in its work since March 2012.
