Conference „Digital World“ was opened and hosted in Belgrade by Cable Operators Association of Serbia (PUKOS).

Greeting the participants, dr Vladica Tintor, director of RATEL, pointed out that the Agency highly appreciates cooperation with PUKOS, contributing gladly to the meetings and conferences organized by this Association. Dr Tintor presented RATEL’s plan of activities for the current year, including setting up of spectrum monitoring system and sensor system for non ionizing radiation measurments, new cycle of market analysis, application of new cost accounting model, elaboration of the RF Spectrum Allocation Plan, comparative measurement of mobile networks’ quality, implementation of new laws in the domains of electronic and postal services expected to be adopted shortly, establishment of National CERT, initial drafting of atlas infrastructure and launch of an electronic issuance procedure regarding licences for radio stations.

RATEL’s representatives took part in the panel „Information security, regulation, CERT“ with presentation „Bases of electronic communications networks’ free capacities“. Those comprise geographic and structure data on electronic communications infrastructure subject to lease in the Republic of Serbia. In line with the regulations, the Agency made it possible for registered operators of public electronic communications networks to search these data. Web Gis application that can be very interesting to cable operators has been available to users since March this year.
