Technical Agreement between RATEL and Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (RAK)

In Sarajevo, on 10 and 11 May 2017, a bilateral meeting of RATEL and RAK took place, with main subject dedicated to radio frequency coordination in the bandwidth 87.5-108 MHz allocated to FM BC radio broadcasting systems for radio signal broadcast (provision of radio service).

The coordination is carried out in line with provisions of the ITU Agreement GE 84, covering previously submitted requests of both regulatory bodies. This meeting represents a positive step forward in resolving the requests and enabling radio stations’ smooth operations, without harmful interference from neighbouring country’s radio stations.

Representatives of RATEL and RAK also signed Technical Agreement on coordination and allotment of frequency channels for land mobile systems in frequency bands 380-385 MHz/ 390-395 MHz for harmonized use of PPDR narrow band digital applications.

The two Agencies will continue their cooperation in the domain of international frequency coordination.
