Jubilee 40th PosTel takes place
This year’s jubilee 40th Symposium on Novel Technologies in Postal and Telecommunications Traffic, PosTel 2022, took place on November 29-30 2022, at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade. During the opening ceremony, the attendees were greeted, among others, by Dragan Pejović, director of RATEL, who highlighted the significance of this gathering to the postal and telecommunications engineers, briefly presenting the situation in the postal markets over the previous year, as well as RATEL’s major plans and activities foreseen for the future. On this occasion, Mr. Pejović was awarded a gratitude plaque in recognition of RATEL’s year-long support to this event.
PosTel’s goal is to follow, through paper presentations, modern scientific and technological research and topics in the areas of postal traffic and telecommunications. Like every year, RATEL’s representatives contributed to the event – on the first day of the Symposium, Tamara Muškatirović – Zekić, as a co-author of „Application of neural networks for compensation of nonlinear distortion in new generation mobile systems“, presented her team’s work, with dr Goran Paunović taking the floor on the second day, with presentation „Phishing campaign models abusing logo and name of Post of Serbia.“
The 40th PosTel showcased 39 papers authored by renowned university and institute researchers and scientists, as well as by esteemed experts of postal and telecommunications organizations and regulatory bodies from the country and the region. The Symposium was themed around current hot topics and issues pertaining to functioning and advancement of the postal and telecommunications sectors, including models of global and national development, advanced information and communication technology, architectures and services, management, marketing, e-commerce, heterogeneous wireless and multimedia communications, postal traffic and telecommunications engineering, telecommunications and network modeling and simulation, postal and telecommunications regulation, analysis and modeling of postal and telecommunications markets, intelligent transport systems, IoT application in traffic and smart cities, digitization, database development and other.
