Director of the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of the Republic of Serbia (RATEL), dr Vladica Tintor, and President of the Hungarian National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), dr Monika Karas, signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of electronic communications. Heads of the two agencies pointed out that so far the technical cooperation has been good, but needs to be strengthened further, due to the ever growing importance of electronic communications in the domain of economic development and social activities of the two countries.

The Memorandum represents a starting point for the new common programs, future regular contacts and development of the practical cooperation regarding electronic communications services, as well as for the mutual benefit from the exchange of information, experience and documents related to the electronic communications regulation.

The representatives of the two agencies had a bilateral meeting and signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the margins of the BEREC Plenary meeting in Bucharest.
