New Rulebooks enter into force

The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, within its prescribed competencies and deadlines, adopted the following rulebooks, that entered into force on Novebmer 15, 2024:
- Rulebook on the security and integrity of electronic communication networks and services and terminal equipment ("Official Gazette of RS", No. 88/24 of November 7, 2024), to be applied as of December 1, 2025, stipulating the implementation of the appropriate technical and organizational measures corresponding to the exisitng risks, in particular measures for prevention and alleviation of the impact of security incidents on users and interconnected networks, measures to enable the continuity of the operation of public communication networks and services, protective measures to prevent the unauthorized use of terminal equipment enabling Internet access, procedure of alerting users in case of a particular risk of security or integrity breach of public communication networks and services and procedure of informing the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services about every security or integrity breach of public communication networks and services significantly impacting the operation of a business entity.
- Rulebook on the requirements for allocation and use of radio frequency spectrum under general authorization regime ("Official Gazette of RS", No. 88/24 of November 7, 2024), stipulating the requirements for the allocation and use of RF spectrum under general authorization regime, as well as making records of specific types of radio stations operating in RF bands being used under general authorization regime.
