35th jubilee of the Symposium on Novel Technologies in Postal and Telecommunications Traffic, „PosTel 2017“ is taking place on the 5th and 6th of December, at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering of the Belgrade University, with more than 450 experts participating in this event. The Symposium is organized by the Department for Postal and Telecommunications Traffic, with the assistance of the Public Enterprise „Pošta Srbije“, Telekom Srbija, Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, Serbian Chamber of Engineers and Telecommunications Society. Sponsors of this year’s PosTel are Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia.

In his opening speech at the Symposium, dr Vladica Tintor, director of RATEL, spoke about present results and future plans of the Agency in the field of postal services. Among other things, he announced that, at the end of 2018, Belgrade will host the second Plenary Meeting of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP). The Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering awarded to RATEL a Plaque as a special social recognition for the long-standing support and achievements within the organization and contribution to a permanent professional development in the domains of postal and telecommunications traffic.
