RATEL hosts preparatory training for „European Cybersecurity Challenge 2024“ championship

As part of the cooperation with the Cybersecurity Network Foundation (CSN), the first part of the preparatory training for the „European Cybersecurity Challenge (ECSC) 2024“ contest was held on August 31st and September 1st in the premises of RATEL, i.e. the National CERT. The training was attended by the representatives of the teams of Bulgaria, Estonia, Ireland, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Netherlands, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Serbia.

The best cyber talents representing each of the participating countries will compete on a unique platform dedicated to sharing knowledge, collaboration and challenges through practical tests, some of which include security trials in the area of web and network security, mobile device security, cryptography, reverse engineering and digital forensics.

The competition will take place in Turin, Italy, from October 7th to 11th, and will be supported by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), in cooperation with the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency and the Cybersecurity National Lab.

The European Cybersecurity Challenge (ECSC) is an annual event that brings together young talents aged from 14 to 25 from all around Europe, offering an opportunity to share knowledge, collaborate and compete. The aim of the championship is to encourage the young population to choose a career in cybersecurity.
