On June 1st and 2nd, Plenary Meeting of European Committee for Postal Regulation was held in Madrid, with election of this body’s Chair and Vice-Chair as one of the topics on the agenda.

Following the vote of 48 CERP member countries, dr Nikola Trubint, Head of RATEL’s Postal Regulation Unit, was elected as CERP Vice-Chair, whereas Chair is Mr German Vasquez from the competent Spanish ministry.

During the Plenary Meeting, a Round Table on the European Commission (EC) proposition regarding international parcel delivery was also held. Cross-border parcel delivery regulation is an important step to be made in digital single market implementation, which is one of the EC’s priorities.

Representatives of the EC, ERGP, Post Europ, CERP and UPU took part in this Round Table.
