Director of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL) Dragan Pejović met with Dejan Ristić, Minister of Information and Telecommunications of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and discussed mutual cooperation and further collaborative activities between the two institutions.

The director of RATEL acquainted the minister with the regulator’s current work and planned activities, with the focus on the recent period of intensified and successful cooperation between the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications and RATEL, primarily concerning the work of drafting the Law on Electronic Communications and relevant by-laws necessary for its implementation. It was pointed out that RATEL would continue with its commitment to carry out its regulatory tasks in the areas of electronic communications and postal services, including the activities of National CERT as part of the regulator’s competence in the area of cybersecurity.

The minister stressed the importance of the current effective cooperation, underlining the need for its further advancement through excellent communication and activity coordination, in order to efficiently achieve defined plans and goals.
