RATEL representatives visited the headquarters of MadNet telecommunications operator from Pančevo. This provider offers Internet, television and fixed telephony services to its users. During the visit, the discussion was held about common problems in electronic communications, the initiative of cable operators to occasionally organize thematic meetings, about trends and plans in this area and new legal initiatives.

Talking about the results of the market analyses for the second quarter of 2017, Dr Vladica Tintor, director of RATEL, said that in 2017, the stable increase in the number of subscribers of fixed broadband Internet access continued to be observed, as well as of the average Internet speeds they use. At the end of the second quarter, 34 percent of subscribers have had access to the Internet speed of 30 Mb/s or higher. Package offers of telecommunications services are gaining their place on the market, which was also recognized by MadNet.
