In accordance with the provision of Article 32, paragraph 4 of the Rulebook on Radio Equipment ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia", No. 24/24, hereinafter: the Rulebook on Radio Equipment), the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services/Ratel, as the designated Authority for conformity assessment of radio equipment, shall not perform conformity assessment activities as of 1 January 2025. Requests for conformity assessment and issuance of Certificates of Conformity, as well as requests for issuance of extracts from the records of issued certificates of conformity received by 31 December 2024, shall be terminated in accordance with the Rulebook on Radio Equipment and the Procedure for Performing Conformity Assessment Activities for Radio Equipment, which are available on Ratel’s website.

Until the completion of the appointment procedure in accordance with the Rulebook on Radio Equipment, the tasks of assessing the conformity of radio equipment and issuing certificates of conformity shall continue to be performed by conformity assessment bodies, which have been appointed for the assessment of conformity in accordance with the Rulebook on Radio Equipment and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia", No. 11/12) and which have submitted a request for appointment to the competent authority in accordance with the provision of Article 32, paragraph 3 of the Rulebook on Radio Equipment.

Based on Article 161 of the Law on Electronic Communications ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia", No. 35/23) and the Rulebook on the manner and procedure for conducting expert supervision in the field of electronic communications ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia", No. 84/24), which shall be applicable as of 1 January 2025, Ratel performs expert supervision of the fulfillment of technical requirements for radio equipment according to the requirements of the Rulebook on Radio Equipment.
