Article 161 of the Law on Electronic Communications ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia", No. 35/23) stipulates that the Regulator shall perform expert supervision over the implementation of this Law and regulations adopted on the basis thereof.

In order to carry out expert supervision, the Regulator is authorized to request the necessary data and information from business entities and other persons, as well as to measure and test the operation of electronic communication networks and services, associated assets, electronic communications equipment, radio equipment and terminal equipment.

The manner and procedure for conducting expert supervision, as well as other issues related to expert supervision, are prescribed by the Rulebook on the manner and procedure for conducting expert supervision in the field of electronic communications.
