Numbering for service providers
Ratel / Electronic Communications / Networks and services / For operators and service providers / Numbering for service providers

Providers of relevant electronic communication services may be assigned numbers from the Numbering Plan. Depending on the type of electronic service and the type of network over which the service is provided, service providers may, in accordance with the Numbering Plan, submit an application for the assignment of numbers to the Regulator.
The request for the assignment of numbering is submitted on the form prescribed by the Rulebook on application form for the issuance of licence for the use of numbering.
Application for the issuance of licence for the use of numbering - NUM form
In the case of a request for the assignment of geographical numbers, the application form shall be completed in accordance with the Instructions for completing the form for the issuance of a license for the use of numbering.
The maximum period for which a numbering may be issued is 10 years.
The validity of the license for the use of numbering can be extended by the service provider who has been assigned the numbering submitting to the Regulator a request to extend the duration of the license within a period not shorter than 30 days nor longer than 90 days before the expiration of the validity of the license.
After submitting an application for the issuance of numbering, if all requirements are met, a letter is sent to the service provider with instructions for the payment of the fee for processing the request. The fee amounts to 22,560 dinars for the assignment of numbering and 11,280 dinars for the extension of the license for the use of numbering. The fees for processing the requests for numbering assignments are determined by the Rulebook on the establishment of fees for the provision of services within the competence of the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, Nos. 34/13, 92/20, 87/21 and 112/22-other regulations).
If the service provider, for any reason, no longer needs the assigned numbers, it may waive the right to use the assigned numbering or part thereof. No fee is charged for relinquishing the assigned numbering and it is done by the service provider sending the Regulator a free form notice that should contain the range of numbers to be relinquished and the date of relinquishment.
The service provider who has been assigned a numbering is obligated to pay an annual fee for the use of numbering in accordance with Annex 15 of the Law on fees for the use of public goods ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia", Nos. 95/18, 49/19, 86/19-harmonized RSD amounts and 156/20-harmonized RSD amounts).
