Mobile satellite links include radio links established between mobile terrestrial stations and one or more space stations or between space stations used in the mobile satellite service, and a radio relay between mobile terrestrial stations by means of one or more space stations.
The mobile satellite service also includes connecting links needed for its use.
The mobile satellite service frequency bands are defined in the Allocation plan. The radio frequency spectrum in the bands allocated to mobile satellite service is used on the basis of an individual license for the use of the radio frequency spectrum, which is issued upon request or under general authorization regime, as stipulated in the column "Manner of issuing licenses" of the Allocation Plan.
