A candidate who has passed the professional exam for radio amateur can submit an application to RATEL for the issuance of an amateur radio license.
To obtain an amateur radio license, the following documents must be submitted:
· proof of passing the professional exam for the appropriate class;
· proof of payment of the license fee (payment instructions);
· a completed application for the issuance of an amateur radio license (ZRLA form).
Based on the submitted documentation, RATEL issues an amateur radio license with a validity period of 10 years.
For the extension of the validity period of an amateur radio license, along with the application (ZRLA form), proof of payment of the amateur radio license fee (payment instructions) must be submitted as well.
The fee for the issuance of an amateur radio license is charged in the amount of the costs for issuing an individual license for the use of the radio frequency spectrum for a personal or club amateur radio station, according to the Rulebook on the amount and method of payment of fees for the provision of services within the competence of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, which applies from 1.1.2025.
The documentation required for the issuance of an amateur radio license can also be collected by an amateur radio organization on behalf of its members and submitted collectively to the Regulator by mail or via email: pisarnica@ratel.rs.
