32nd TELFOR 2024 takes place
The 32nd International Telecommunications Forum gathering the telecommunications and IT experts, TELFOR 2024, took place on November 26 and 27 in Belgrade. The event was opened by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, Milan Dobrijević, who said that collaboration and coordinated activities of the institutions, academic community, experts and businesses were crucial for the further accelerated development of information and communication technologies.
The Chair of the RATEL Council, Dragan Kovačević, recounted in his introductory speech the dynamic period after the adoption of the Law on Electronic Communicaitons during which RATEL passed more than 50 by-laws in the area of electronic communications. He also said that, after the adoption of the Rulebook on the minimum requirements for the issuance of individual licenses for the use of radio frequency spectrum based on the public bidding procedure for radio frequency bands 700 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2600 MHz and 3500 MHz, by the competent ministry, RATEL would, in the year to follow, undertake a set of complex activities necessary for the public bidding procedure regarding the issuance of individual licenses in the 5G technology frequency bands. As for the electronic communications market and related intensive infractructure and innovations investments expected to shape the future of communications in Serbia, he pointed out that over the previous year, the total generated revenues were around 270 billion dinars, representing an increase by more than 10% compared to the year before, with the investments surpassing 90 billion dinars.
In the introductory part, the participants were also addressed by the director general of Telekom Srbija, Vladimir Lučić, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Yettel Srbija, Goran Vasić, and CEO of A1 Srbija, Judit Albers.
As part of the segment about companies’ activities, Vesna Milutinović presented the paper „Overview of tasks and experience of RATEL’s team at OG/POG Paris 2024“.

Along with TELFOR 2024 was held the 26th International Conference on Speech and Computer - SPECOM 2024.
